Registration Deadline:

The final registration deadline is April 16, 2010.  At this time we will close registration to begin finalizing plans for the meet.

Basic Meet Information:

Tournament Description:

The NCSAA High School Track and Field Championships offers a high-value competitive and team-building experience -- in a Christ-centered environment -- for your high school track and field team.  Highly-organized and hosted at excellent facilities, the event provides the excitement of participating in a major track and field event for teams of all sizes and competitive levels.

Tournament Format:

This meet is open to Christian and private schools from any region of the country.

Girls and boys in grades 9-12 are eligible to compete.

Girls and boys teams will be scored separately.

The meet format will include separate divisions for large schools and small schools.

Closing Ceremony and Awards:

All participating teams will be recognized during the closing ceremony, which will also include a special recognition of each team's senior athletes.

Championship banners will be presented to the 1st place team in each division, and framed certificate awards will be presented to the 2nd and 3rd place teams in each division.  Most Outstanding Athlete awards will be announced at the closing ceremony, and individual ribbons will also be awarded to the top three finishers in each event.

Christ-Centered Environment and Team-Building Opportunities:

This meet is held in a distinctly Christ-centered environment -- from the setting on a Christian college campus (which we hope teams and families will take the time to visit), to the Opening Prayer and Team Challenge, to the spirit of mutual encouragement and healthy competition typically displayed at this event, to the unified time of team fellowship and prayer at the Closing Ceremony.  This NCSAA event is distinctive in its goal of being more than just an athletic event; we desire that your athletes experience the joy of Christ-centered competition and respond to the challenge of using their gifts in such a way to honor Christ during their time here!

Various Christian colleges and universities sponsor this meet, and we will make available an informational kiosk where students and families can pick up brochures and other items from the various colleges.  When your team is at the tournament, you can encourage your players to visit the kiosk and do some research into the schools.  Teams that attend our tournaments have remarked that this feature has been very valuable, as the event doubles as an opportunity to expose your athletes to the value of  and options for Christian education beyond high school.

Beneficial Exposure for Your Athletes:

A live broadcast of the finish line may be available via the NCSAA Internet Broadcast Channel, so that parents and fans are able to watch their athletes compete!

Each team's top athletes will be recognized in the "Athletes to Watch" section of the booklet given to all college coaches who attend the event (as well as many college coaches that request these materials after the tournament).  This opportunity presents your athletes with a great opportunity to be seen by college coaches, scouts, and recruiters -- many of whom attend the tournament.

Individual athlete fees are due upon your team's arrival at the meet.  If you have any questions regarding these fees, please contact us ASAP.

Withdrawals:

We understand that occasionally there may be reason for a team to withdraw from a meet, after having already registered.  If any team must withdraw after already registering for the meet, that team still will be expected to honor its commitment to pay the full team registration fees.  NCSAA must budget based on the number of registered teams, and all fees for all registered spots are critical in order to plan for and conduct a successful meet.  Thanks for your understanding of this!

Lodging is available at the local Holiday Inn (less than 3 miles from Geneva College).  The rate is $129 per night.  (You can place four people in one room.)  For reservations, call the Holiday Inn directly (724-846-3700) and request the rate for the NCSAA Track Meet.
