* Division 1 - If you have 300 or more students in grades 9-12, you will be in NCSAA Division 1.

RANKINGS AND CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT QUALIFYING:

* NCSAA maintains varsity team National Rankings (Prep, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3) and Super-Regional Rankings (Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3) in numerous sports throughout each school year.  NCSAA Associate Members will be ranked alongside NCSAA Member Schools, and those rankings will be used for seeding purposes, in the event that an Associate Member attends an NCSAA championship tournament (as described below).

* Inclusion in the NCSAA National and Super-Regional Rankings does not require you to attend any NCSAA tournaments.

* NCSAA currently operates National Championship tournaments in boys' and girls' varsity basketball, as well as Division 2 and 3 Championship tournaments in fall soccer (boys and girls), volleyball (girls), basketball (boys and girls), baseball, fast-pitch softball (girls), and spring soccer (girls).

* Qualifying for NCSAA National Championships:  Any team is welcome to register for these tournaments, but qualifying for the National Championship Bracket will be determined by final placement in the NCSAA National Rankings.  (Teams that do not qualify for the National Championship Bracket will compete in the National Invitational brackets.)  For more specific information on the qualifying procedures and National Championship events, call NCSAA at 724-846-2764.

* Qualifying for NCSAA Division 2 and 3 Championships:  NCSAA also operates separate Division 2 and 3 Championships in some sports.  Any Division 2 or 3 team is welcome to register for these tournaments, but qualifying for the Championship Brackets will be determined by final placement in the NCSAA Division 2 and Division 3 Rankings.  (Teams that do not qualify for the Division 2 and 3 Championship Brackets will compete in the Division 2 and 3 Invitational brackets.)  For more specific information on the qualifying procedures and Division 2 and 3 Championship events, call NCSAA at 724-846-2764.
